My Philosophy
I know that you did not enter marriage ever anticipating that you would get divorced. If you have children you never anticipated that you would have to negotiate over when you would get to see them. If you are coming to see me, this is one of the most stressful times in your life. I understand this and keep it in mind always as I work with you.
I believe that the family law legal process-- from start to finish-- can be done differently, in a more integrated and holistic way. Litigation can be lengthy, costly and emotionally draining. It can be unpredictable, and often does not yield the results that the parties wish. I will work to keep your case out of court, but if litigation becomes necessary, you may count upon my years of trial court and teaching experience to serve you well in the courtroom. Throughout the process you will feel secure and supported.
I will get you what you need to resolve your legal matter and move on to the life you and your family can trust. I will work to keep your case out of court, but If you need to go to court, I will be tough as nails—and throughout the process I will work with you to make sure you feel supported emotionally, and physically.
